Dating back to the era of Gutenberg, a bookplate is a decorative, printed label pasted on the front endpaper of a book to indicate ownership. Bookplates typically bear a name and/or motif that relates to the owner of the book. The motif shown here, a decorative letter L and linden leaf, is letterpress printed in charcoal black & ruby red ink on Fabriano Roma paper. This magnificent paper features a wide laid surface created from wire screens that evoke 13th century European paper making. With the ancient Romulus and Remus “she-wolf” watermark.

Woodland-themed wedding invitation for a couple getting married under the redwood tree canopy, beneath the starry firmament at Nestldown in Los Gatos. Shades of green ink – mossy, deep forest, sage and seafoam – are letterpress printed on soft Fabriano Mediovalis stationery for a dreamy ensemble. The gate-fold invitation and accompanying pieces are bundled together with pale sage Indian silk ribbon and gold sealing wax.
