Happy Halloween & Dia de los Muertos. Here’s a glimpse of this year’s Halloween card…an occasion to dust off those dusty gothic typefaces in the hinterlands of my type library :)  Printed in velvety black ink with accents of blood red.

What an honor to design + print John Shafer’s 90th birthday party invitations + dinner menus. I had the pleasure of working with John’s wife, Barbara, on the design…striking the right tone of unfussy, casual elegance. Hand-printed letterpress in “Shafer” blue ink…a custom ink mix inspired by the vines & landscape of Shafer Vineyards. Beautifully situated in the Stags Leap district of Napa Valley.
